Ready.

For any challenge.

Shape the future and let plastics be an integral part of it

Our family-owned company based in Mühlen is one of the leading players in the Oldenburger Münsterland plastics region. The engineer Franz Burwinkel, who died in 2013, founded the company in 1978 from very small beginnings. Today, his son, industrial engineer Martin Burwinkel, is the managing director of the limited company and has sole representative authorisation.

We are breaking new ground together with our approximately 115 employees: We are taking responsibility for future generations with regard to greenhouse gas neutrality, circular economy and transformation. Out of conviction. And with passion. Or in other words: We are in shape. For tomorrow.

History

Vision and Mission

The Burwinkel strategy

For us, sustainability is not an end in itself. We want to fulfil our responsibility and make our successful family business fit for the future. Shaping instead of being shaped - that is the principle. We take our employees and our partners in the market with us on this journey. The objective of this strategy is to become more sustainable in the traditional day-to-day business and thus remain fit for the future, as well as to create and occupy future markets.

Mission

It is important to us to act in a mindful, honest, resource-conserving and sustainable manner at all levels. We think flexibly and are always open to other opinions.

We value each other, recognise and promote potential and embrace diversity.

For us, taking responsibility means trust and confidence in ourselves and others.

We see ourselves as a team both in success and in failure. We are committed to our region, Oldenburger Münsterland and its values.

Vision

We see ourselves as an innovative partner in the development and production of injection-moulded plastic parts.

The foundation for this is our employees' expertise, our many years of experience, flexible thinking about new solutions and sustainable developments as well as our dedication to perfection.

We stand for sustainable plastics, environmentally friendly and customised solutions, both regionally and nationally. We are distinguished by our willingness and courage to change.

CSR Approach

For us, "corporate social responsibility" means acting responsibly with regard to the climate crisis and environmental aspects ("ecologically friendly"), the interests of our employees, the region and society ("socially responsible") and the profitability of the company ("economically innovative"), and not just since yesterday.

Employees

Our committed and diverse employees are the backbone of our company.

Reliable, trained and motivated employees ensure that we can maximise our potential and that we are well positioned for the future.

Supply Chain

As a medium-sized company, we are not yet affected by the Corporate Due Diligence Supply Chain Act. However, we are already increasingly addressing this issue through supplier self-disclosures and our Code of Conduct.

Customers and markets

We work closely and in partnership with our customers and suppliers, most of whom have been with us for many years, and benefit from mutual trust and an exchange of knowledge.

Environment

Our business activities have an impact on the environment. For this reason, we work intensively on the topics of circular economy, recycling and the reduction of our CO2 emissions.

Communication and the region

We are committed to our region, Oldenburger Münsterland and its values.

We assume social responsibility, for example in educational projects and through sponsorship.

Dialogue with internal and external stakeholders is key for us.

Basic core Business operations

Our corporate strategy is based on a stable, operational core business from which future topics can be constantly developed.

Target matrix

We have set ourselves specific targets in order to constantly improve and become more sustainable.

Our partners

Perfectly positioned.

You can look forward to our employees' expertise, our many years of experience, our flexible way of thinking in terms of finding new solutions and sustainable development, and our passion for perfection.

Successful as a team.

We also maintain cooperations and partnerships in research and development. For example, with the Private University of Applied Sciences for Business and Technology (PHWT), the Centre for Materials and Technology (ZWT GmbH) and in toolmaking with Brinkmann Formenbau GmbH.

Strongly rooted.

We have always been firmly committed to our home, the Oldenburger Münsterland, and we are active there in many ways.
