Jörg Naffin: “I see great potential here”
On December 1, 2023, we welcomed our new sales manager for internal and external sales, Jörg Naffin (47). He is the successor to Mehmet Tarti, who is leaving us in mid-December. In an interview, Jörg tells us how he came to Burwinkel, what he has a particular passion for and what drives him.
Jörg, you have been the new sales manager of Burwinkel Kunststoffwerk in Mühlen since December 1. Please introduce yourself to us briefly...
Jörg Naffin: I'd be happy to. I'm 47 years old, grew up in Halter near Visbek, now live in Holdorf and have two daughters. I have a passion for football, but above all I'm a child of plastics - with a soft spot for caps and plugs.

Jörg Naffin: I learned the profession of "industrial clerk" in a large plastics company here in the region and worked in the "caps and plugs" area for many years. This product area is my world, so to speak. Even when I was working for other companies in the meantime and most recently for a large corporation in Bremen, the topic never left me alone. I always kept in touch with the industry and with colleagues in the area.
How did your path lead you to Burwinkel?
Jörg Naffin: I came across the advert from Burwinkel and immediately thought: This could be a good fit. We've met in the past and speak the same language. Of course, I hadn't failed to notice that Burwinkel is a family-run, medium-sized, healthy and innovative company that has made great strides, especially in the last ten years. I see great potential here and I identify with the company's values. In addition, Burwinkel has a strong foothold in the caps and plugs area with its LONACAP program. The application was a complete circle for me. It is the right position at the right time.
What exactly are you planning to do at Burwinkel?
Jörg Naffin: First of all, it is very important to me to get to know the exciting team at Burwinkel better. In the first few hours here, I noticed that the doors, including those of the management, are always open and the decision-making processes are short. Then, of course, I want to get into contact with customers, revive old networks and bring them into play. I see myself as a doer and designer, as someone who uses new opportunities and likes to develop ideas together. This environment in the Burwinkel family seems perfect for that.
